PWMU.CO – A total of four special students of SD Muhammadiyah Manyar (SDMM) Gresik, East Java participated in the independence photo and video competition organized by the Gresik ABK Education Service Unit.
The four students are Umar Hanif Tauhidi IV Permata, Alano Daeng Situru II Lumix, Muhammad Hazib Zayyan III Bromo, and Ben Zhafrano El Fariqsyah I Eagle.
The competition held by the UPT ABK Gresik Education Service provides an opportunity for the general public to contribute to commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, with two categories, namely category A aged 3-7 years and category B aged 8-17 years.
Participants sing national songs or folk songs. As for the photo competition, the theme is “I Love Indonesia”. With the additional provision that the photo does not contain racial elements. The announcement of the competition will be announced on Thursday (22/8/2024).
Zhafran took a photo, while Alano and Zayyan took a photo and sang Hari Merdeka, and Umar also took a photo and sang Garuda Pancasila.
The uploaded videos were shared through the school’s social media. Aspects of the committee’s assessment included the suitability of the theme, timeliness of the uploud, creativity of the photo or video, and originality.
Ria Eka Lestari, the person in charge of SDMM Counseling Guidance, told PWMU.CO, they always try to show high fighting spirit during the coaching process and making photos or videos.
They are faced with the challenge of memorizing song lyrics, adjusting the tempo of the music, and having to focus on the camera.
Tari, her nickname added, they chose unlimited potential, each child has unique potential. One of them is Alano, class II Lumix, who just wanted to sing during a video selfie. It’s funny, but that’s who they are. Such potential can be further honed and seen.
The ITS alumnus advised never to give up, keep fighting and practicing, because success does not come easily.
Believe in yourself. You have extraordinary abilities, don’t hesitate to show them. Finally, enjoy the process. Don’t just focus on the end result, but enjoy every step in this journey.
The process is more important than the result. The journey to the race is a valuable process. The progress made, both big and small, should be appreciated.
It takes the help and role of several parties, namely the special assistant teacher (Shadow) and the student’s parents. Parents were supportive, responded positively and were grateful.
They are very grateful to the school for giving their son the opportunity to participate in the competition, to have the same rights as his other friends.
This is a very valuable experience for their son and the parents themselves of course.
Parents also feel proud to see their son’s enthusiasm in practicing. They even practiced singing at home, supported the photo and video props, and prayed for him.
Even if the results are not as expected, they believe it will be a motivation for their son to continue learning.
There are also those who respond with emotion. They didn’t expect their son to get this far. Appearing in front of the camera, posing, they even asked how difficult it was for the photographer to take pictures of their son at that time.
The role of Shadow’s teacher before the day of taking photos or videos. Discussing with Shadow and asking for parents’ willingness. We discuss with Shadow what song to sing, and what kind of photo pose that suits the child. This includes preparing the props.
For the process of taking photos and videos, it takes about 5 hours because it adjusts to the child’s emotional state.
Ustaz Anwar as a photographer also has to be agile because it is difficult to maintain focus for a long time. Not to mention having to change the scenario because the child did not want the property that had been prepared. (*)
